Meet our Station Manager!

Hi there! I'm Shapari. I'm lucky enough to be the Station Manager for a second year at KDAWG! I'm majoring in Sociology and minoring in English Literature. I joined KDAWG when I was a freshman--I was basically recruited to join KDAWG! The station manager at the time invited me into the studio when I was visiting the UoR and I immediately knew that 1. Redlands was for me, and 2. that once I moved here I was going to join the KDAWG team! So, 5 months later I was at the first meeting and started working as the Public Relations Director. Next thing I knew I was being interviewed to take over as station manager for the following year...and somehow I landed the gig. In addition to being the manager at the station, I am a student assistant in the Sociology, Anthropology, and Religious Studies office. If you can't tell, I try to keep myself pretty busy otherwise I just don't know what to do with myself! When i'm not working, studying, or helping produce shows I'm probably reading lifestyle blogs, buying things I really don't need at Target, or trying to find ways to incorporate health and fitness into my life routine...even though I do enjoy myself some pizza from the Plaza after late nights in the studio or library--there's just nothing better, is there?  I feel so lucky to be a part of such an extraordinary organization. KDAWG has taught me a lot about how to be a leader and a team player, and I have met some of the most amazing people through being a part of the team! There are so many amazing opportunities at KDAWG. I never EVER thought that I would be the station manager at my uni's radio station someday but here I am! Living the dream dudes! This is going to be a good year for KDAWG. We've got some good things in store so be sure to keep up with us. We won't let you down!
