Get to Know Our Marketing and Social Media Chair, Taylor!

Hi! My name is Taylor Rogers and I am a senior here at the University of Redlands. This is my fourth year in KDAWG and third year as the Social Media Director! I’m pursuing a B.A. in Psychology as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credentials in hopes to become an elementary school teacher soon! Prior to my revelation of wanting to be a teacher, I wanted to work behind the scenes in the music industry. Ever since I watched Pitch Perfect in high school, I knew I wanted to be a part of my school’s radio station. I wasn’t quite comfortable enough to be a DJ, but in line with my dreams in the music industry, behind the scenes was perfect for me!

I started off my freshman year as Assistant Social Media Director and quickly got promoted as my lead director left Redlands at the start of my sophomore year. It was a big leap, but I’m definitely grateful for the opportunity. I’ve learned so much about social media and radio culture through my time at the station.

Some of my hobbies include binge-watching shows on Netflix, going to the beach, and spending time with my sorority, Alpha Xi Omicron. In addition to KDAWG and Alpha Xi, I am involved in Omicron Delta Kappa, a leadership honors society on campus, Psi Chi, a psychology honors society, Order of Omega, another leadership honors circle, and I am a tutor at a local elementary school. Needless to say, I keep myself pretty busy along side classes.

Although my roles in KDAWG have not been very diverse, I have loved my time at the station. The little room on the far side of campus will always have a big spot in my heart. I will definitely miss my KDAWG fam after graduation this year.
